1st Annual A-Town Festival:
A Celebration of American Music
2pm to Midnight

Swing, Classic Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues, Boogie Woogie, Honky Tonk, Western Swing and more!

Goal: To promote, highlight & bring together the various genres of American music from the 1930s thru the 1960s. This all day festival and celebration offers live music from the talented and entertaining A-Town Booking Agency & Events roster.

Owner, Mr. Tanoa Stewart, located in Alameda, California comes from a family of music, song and dance. "The arts have always played a large role in my life. As a youngster, I was into everything from watercolor and drawing arts to tap dancin'... High school and college was all about, among other things, garage bands, computer, design and business classes. In 1998 I jumped heavily into the "retro" and "roots" live music and dance scene. A local swingin' & jumpin' jazz/blues band named "Stompy Jones" gave me my first opportunity to delve into the world of band bookings. A band full of veteran musicians helped me learn the ins and outs of the music biz. With networking, countless hours of phone calls and research, A-Town Booking Agency & Events was born."

A-Town Festival: A Celebration of American Music is about the song and dance. As the music of the time changed, so did the dance. Superstar dance teachers Hep Jen and Jumpin' Jeff Kroll will be teaching short dance lessons, during band breaks, throughout the festival. From Balboa, 2-step, East Coast Swing and Jive. Here in the year 2012, you can make your own interpretation of the music...Be it shuffling your feet, watching the bands or sipping a drink...it's all here.
