Old Timey Artists started in November 1999, and in 2008 became
A-Town Booking Agency & Events. Coming from a family of music, song, dance - the arts
have always played a large role in my life. As a youngster, I was into everything from
watercolor and drawing arts to tap dancin'... High school and college was all about, among
other things, garage bands, computer, design and business classes. In 1998 I jumped
heavily into the "retro" and "roots" live music and dance scene. A
local swingin' & jumpin' jazz/blues band named "Stompy Jones" gave me my first opportunity to
delve into the world of band bookings. A band full of veteran musicians helped me learn
the ins and outs of the music biz. With networking, countless hours of phone calls and
research, A-Town Booking Agency & Events was born.
Over 11 years later and a massive database of festivals, agents,
concerts, street fairs and clubs... A-Town Booking Agency is the exclusive booking agency
for Stompy Jones, JP & the
Rhythm Chasers, Big B & his Snakeoil Saviors, Hi Rhythm Hustlers,
Kit and the Branded Men & The Quarter Mile Combo. (Cari Lee & the Saddle-ites, Neptune Beach Boys, Johnny Dilks, Dave Gleason - bands now defunct or moved on) I've booked performers into everything imaginable all across the
country, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Orlando, Phoenix,
Manhattan, Boston, Green Bay, Chicago, Washington DC... and even into Europe (Greece,
Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, UK...). A-Town Events also deals in artist/event
promotion via designing
and distribution of flyers and posters, expanding email lists and bay area print/radio media.
Additionally, I produce shows, events and dances... A regular Tuesday night live music swing dance...
the annual Halloween
Zombie Prom, Stompy Jones Sleigh Ride Holiday Ball, plus many successfully run bay area events.
